TABOO VOCABULARY
In words there are cultural elements that distinguish one language from the other to help us to understand both how is the culture and how the person who is using this words.
When you are walking down the streets, when you make friends during a night out, when you listen to a conversation in a tapas bar, even when you see a bit TV, you will be surprised about the load of bad words and expressions, that do not appear in your Spanish book.
We will explain the origin, the meaning and the use of this "taboo vocabulary", afterwards you decide if you want to use it or not..

MUSEO DEL PRADO: GOYA
The Prado has more than 15,000 paintings and receives about 6,000 visitors daily, more than 60% are foreigners (although one of them, Andy Warhol, visited it in ten minutes in 1983). It is the most visited building in Madrid and one of the most visited in Europe.
=elemadrid= offers a Spanish class in the halls of the museum. Goya and his work, André Malraux said that his paintings marked the beginning of modern art, will give us the opportunity both to practice Spanish and to know something more about the Spanish culture

LUNCH WITH THE TEACHERS
Every Thursday, the students have the opportunity to eat with the teachers of =elemadrid= and continue practicing Spanish. This week we go to a typical Madrilenian tavern very close to the school. You can check the menu of the day at school!
Madrid, besides having its own traditional dishes, is a city where you can easily find the great variety (do not only reduce it to the Valencian Paella and the Andalucian Gazpacho!) of the Spanish cuisine.
